Recently it seems we've been bombarded with emails from different countries, wanting us to come and minister. We get those alot and sometimes I just chuckle to myself, because I know if I consider the circumstances around me, in my eyes it seems impossible.
But today, as I read this letter from a pastor, I chuckled as usual, but as I continued to read I was fully consumed as I understood this was more than an invitation. Something about it grabbed my spirit. And as I took the thought into consideration
the Lord began to bring this message to me that I feel so impressed to share with you.
A few years back I was sitting at a table in a resteraunt with a good friend, and my friend asked me point blank; " Pam, What is it that you want to do for God and accomplish through your ministry " ? I thought for a moment and I picked up a pack of sugar and I said ; " hold out your hand ".
And they did, as I placed the pack of sugar in his hands I said; I want to be in God's hands like this pack of sugar is in yours; whatever He wants to do with me, thats what I want to do.
Now, as I pondered on this thought again today, the Lord responded to me; If you are a pack of sugar and you are in my hand then that means I can do whatever I want with you, I can sweeten tea or coffee, I can put you in a batter and make a cake, I can make the most delicious pastries and pies,I can utilize my sugar in so many different ways, and the thing is it's up to me to decide the destiny of this sugar.
Then the Lord says to me; so what is the difference in you in my hand and the pack of sugar in my hand?
And as I thought about it, I said; well Lord that pack of sugar is committed to what ever you decide to do with it and the difference between me and the pack of sugar is that I have a will and I can choose at any time
not to be committed to the destiny you choose for me and I can choose another road that is more pleasing to me but not necessarily the destiny you have chosen for me.
Then, like a light bulb that shines in the darkest night
revelation came to me. It may not be in my plans to
go to the nations of the world, preaching and teaching God's word, maybe I'm comfortable with my ministry just the way it is but if it's in His plan for me to expand beyond the boundary I've set for myself then a light shines in a whole different direction, so the question is am I willing to become totally committed to His destiny for me just like that pack of sugar placed in His hand.
Now, Lets apply this same scenario to you and you are the pack of sugar! What is it that you feel God's destiny is for you ? And are you willing to be totally committed to that destiny, And how much of your own dreams and desires are you willing to give up to submit to His?
I am reminded of the time when Jesus was in the garden of gethsemane praying until His tears became as drops of blood, now this was right before He was to be taken and beaten and freely lay His life down for He understood that salvation for mankind and restoration for us back to God rested on His shoulders.
Mathew 26;39 Jesus made this profound statement that still rings through the corridors of time, Father if it be thy will, let this cup pass from me, but never the less not my will but thine be done.
How could an individual knowing what He was going to have to endure submit himself to such torture?
It had to be because Jesus knew what His purpose and His Calling was, He knew that if He allowed His will to over ride the will of the Father that God's divine purpose for the destiny of mankind would not be accomplished.
So how do we get to the place where we can truly say; God, not my will but your will only be done in my life.
Paul said I crucify this flesh daily that the spirit of God may live and reign in me.
How do we obtain this strength that goes against the grain of our own humanity? I call it the Power 3!
Three ingredients that will keep you in tune with God's will and your destiny. Prayer, Fasting, and Study of God's Holy Word. These three ingredients will open up our blinded eyes and allow us to see spiritually and open up God's revelation to know His will and purpose for our lives and also give us a divine ability to deny
our flesh and obey His spirit.
Today people are consumed with the attitude " What Can God Do For Me? God is our heavenly father and He knows what we have need of even before we ask.
Mathew 6:33 teaches us to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL these things shall be added unto you.
Paul said; I pray that you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. So as we draw closer to God He will supply our needs, but truly what God is looking for today is a people that desire only to please Him and do His will, laying aside every weight and sin that so easily besets us.
Crucifying our own desires and submitting only to His.
For truly in this place we will find ourselves standing in the middle of our true destiny, and it will not be a destiny that lifts us up but it will be a destiny that brings glory to God.
Exodus 34;14 For thou shalt have no other God's before me, for the Lord whose name is jealous, is a jealous God.
Today our main focus must be on how we can please our heavenly Father with a " not my will but thy will be done" attitude. Miracles will not be performed by individuals who cannot dedicate themselves to God's purpose. We are living in a time when all kind of spirits are alive not only outside the church but also sitting in the pew in our very own churches.
Why is this?
It's because christians are dedicated to this world and have failed to dedicate themselves to the full will and purpose of God in their lives.
It's all about what they want and how they choose to live instead of what God wants and what He chooses to do with their life.
My friend, we are fighting a spiritual warfare!!!
Jesus fought it when He walked this earth and we are still fighting it today.
As I stated, I laughed at the thought of me and Pastor Robert ministering in a foreign country, but guess what??? In November of 2013 we took our first mission trip to Nakuru, Kenya and out of that has birthed the true vision of what I feel kingdom ministry is all about.
It isn't about what I do to lift me up or make a name for myself, but it's what I do to lift others up and to plant the seeds of the kingdom in spreading the message of God's Love and Forgiveness, while it is yet day.
The days are getting darker but the harvest is upon us.
But surely God is calling His people to prayer and fasting and a dedication of themselves back to him.
Surely, we must find that place where Jesus was and in our time of testing relinquish all of our own desires
for a self-made destiny and fall directly into God's purpose and plan for our lives.
Surely revival must come!!! And it will come as the result of our dedication and a hunger and a thirst for
deliverance across the lands.
We must keep singing! We must keep preaching! We must keep reaching! Screaming out His message.
" The Last Call Message" must continue to reach out across the continents, to every land and to all people.
We must remove all self-made boundaries and allow God's divine provision to set our course and take us places we never thought we could go.
He's the captain of the ship, and He charts the course,
all we have to do is be willing to get on the boat.
The port of call is sounding, how many of you are willing to get on the boat with me?
Just think of what we can do together if we just become that pack of sugar in Gods hands.............
