John 6:51
I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever, and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
In John chapter 26 Jesus said:
I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs; but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life.
Here Jesus expounds a great truth.
In essence Jesus is saying; when your heart truly turns to me in all earnestness and sincerity...I will
be all you need.
Today it is easy to focus our christian life on God's blessings and what He can do for us.
And yet we want to go about our daily living happy as long as things are going our way.
But what happens when we get the rug pulled out from under us so to speak, and find ourselves crying out for help.
Oh where my children will your help come from? Except from the Lord!!
You search in vain for satisfaction
from the world and you invest yourselves in foolish acts to please your flesh, if I could only get you to see that all you need is in Jesus Christ.
John 4:14
Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst, but the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water
springing up into everlasting life.
Oh! my children, what do you need today?
For whatever you need I will supply.
I will surround you, I will preserve you, In Me you live and move and have your being.
You will hunger and thirst if you do not learn to feed on Me saith the Lord.
How many people today feel so lost and unfulfilled.
We all go about our everyday lives and we are faithful in all the ways we know how to be...
But yet as a whole the body of Christ
is anemic and malnutritioned.
And spiritually we are like dried bread that is so hardened from the elements of a cold, dry place...it seems so hard but yet so brittle that if you try to bend it, it will fall apart and crumble.
Jesus has a message going out today!!!
Feed on Me my children!!! Your heart shall be filled with gladness when I become the most important and the highest object of your affection.
Lay aside the cares of life for just a little while and spend time with the Master.
You have spent yourself in the things of this world that have only brought you pain and unrest, stop! and look around you !!! Has there ever been a day like today?
Truly this world is in chaos, we see it every where we look... and yet in the midst of the darkest hour Jesus is sending out His call to His children and He is telling them that even in the midst of the darkest times we can have peace...
But My soul is grieving because my children have become so calloused of spirit and hard of heart that they cannot hear My voice anymore...
My voice that is calling them to taste and see that the Lord, He is good.
And I would give so freely if they would only ask...
My child, lay at My feet and give yourself to love and worship me.
For he who clings to My hand in childlike trust shall walk with great joy the path of safety.
For I shall hide them underneath the shadow of My wing and preserve them from all the fiery darts of the enemy.
Honor Me today in your heart and I will put My words upon your lips and I will use you in this day and hour to fulfill My purpose.
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
David recognized the need for spiritual renewel on a daily basis.
For he knew that we all fall short daily in our worship and time spent for spiritual renewal that can only come from our heavenly Father.
Lord help us carve out time from our busy lifestyles every day to spend much needed time with you.
For it's in this time of closeness that we can draw strength from you to serve and to lead others with great Love, wisdom, patience and humility.
For in this day and hour, effective leaders in ministry must have clear direction and with clear dirction comes effective implementation of those directions. And on a daily basis effective leaders in ministry must renew their committment to serve rather than be served.
For it is in this time of fellowship with JESUS that His plan and purpose can be made real to us and His strength can be imparted as we lay ourselves down at His feet in pure undefiled worship, His peace fills our soul as
water that rains on a dry parched ground, we are nourished, filled, and ready to reach out in faith to others.
If you have found yourself in a dry place lately, could it be that you have not sat at the table of Jesus? Have you neglected to nourish your soul
in the presence of the Lord?
Have you not eaten of the spiritual bread Jesus himself is speaking of?
Oh! Taste and see, The Lord, He is good.
Psalm 16:5
Lord , you have assigned me my portion' and my cup; you have made my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will praise the Lord who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me; I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Jesus has the table spread before you... Eat daily and be sustained.
JESUS THE BREAD OF LIFE....
