The Spirit and the Word say   " Come "  !!! 

What is it that we are holding in our hands today that will keep us anchored where we are, instead of heeding God's call???

There are some things you have to let go of if you are going to move forward in Christ. 

And it's not always the sinful things, that hold us back,  but sometimes it may be something God has blessed us with, even a long awaited promise, or dream we have waited for and finally we think we are going to have it all, never dreaming at any time would God ask us to lay it down.

The hardest thing to do is lay down something or someone you love, maybe the one thing you've dreamed of or prayed for all of your life, yes even the one thing that is the most important part of your heart or your life's dream.

Just like God did Abraham.

How could he ask Abraham to give up the literal promise that came directly from the mouth of God?

I really feel God tugging at my spirit today concerning the condition of our hearts as christians.

Many of us have been blessed beyond measure and so many times God has come to our rescue for healing, provision, protection, and even in our country He has kept us from much calamity and disasters.

But I feel the Holy Spirit speaking to me today that our blessing has become our distraction.

In our blessings we have become wrapped in complacency and we have become stagnant.

So now it's time to lay it all down, for God needs to move us forward.

We now need to be the sacrifice on the alter, for God needs to once again empower His church for redemption.

The True Church of Jesus Christ as a whole has backslidden, and God is calling us back to a deeper, more personal walk with Him.

We are about to walk in some Great times of testing and God is wanting us to prepare.

For this time that is soon to come will also be the greatest opportunity for ministry.

Oh God!!!  Help us be ready to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit as it calls us. 

Jesus I pray that we will not be so wrapped up in the things of this world that we allow it to become a distraction to detour us from all you have called us to do.

 Romans 13:12 - 14

 The night is far gone, the day of his return will soon be here.

So quit the evil deeds of darkness and put on the armor of right living, as we who live in the daylight should!

Be decent and true in everything you do so that all can approve your behavior.

Don’t spend your time in wild parties and getting drunk or in adultery and lust or fighting or jealousy.

 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

We are living in a time where truly the wheat and the tares are growing up together in the house of God.

Church's are full of christians and yet in America today there is more sin and immorality than ever recorded in the history of our nation.

How can this be???

Many pastors today are preaching a watered down gospel, and many are almost forced to because of our own government that will prosecute them for hate crimes if any person, or group is singled out.

We have devalued true christianity and slept and slumbered in our world of materialism and comfortable lifestyles, and as long as nothing comes along to shake up our comfort zone, we are happy christians, ready for Jesus to come.

Matthew 24: 1 - 39

24 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

² And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

³ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

⁴ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

⁵ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

⁶ And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

⁷ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

⁸ All these are the beginning of sorrows.

⁹ Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

¹⁰ And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

¹¹ And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

¹² And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

¹³ But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

 ³² Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

³³ So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

³⁴ Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

³⁶ But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

³⁷ But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

³⁸ For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

³⁹ And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

 Mathew 24: 46 - 51

 ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

 ⁴⁷ Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

 ⁴⁸ But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

 ⁴⁹ And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

 ⁵⁰ The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

 ⁵¹ And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

 My question I had to ask myself just this week, AM I READY??? 

Don't get me wrong, I love my life and just like many of us today, I don't like it when I feel like God is pulling me out of my comfort zone, or when I feel the Holy Spirit tug at my heart when I have done something wrong.

How do I want Jesus to find me?  What has he called me to do that is still hanging out there, only a thought or a vision, that I still have not made the strides to fulfill??

What is the one thing that stands between me and Jesus?

What is that stands between you and Jesus ?

Can I tell you today, we can say we are christians, we can frequent our church of choice every sunday without fail, and we can live everyday in our lifestyle of choice and keep living every day the same.

But I know today and you know, that it is not going to be enough, when we actually stand before Him, we will surely

know that we lived to please ourselves more than we lived to please Him. 

I am thankful for His mercy and grace that one day on the cross took my place, and at the same moment that the last drop of His blood hit the ground, all of my faults, and failures and shortcomings were forgiven.

But at the same time, My love for my precious savior and the voice of the Holy Spirit are prompting me today to pray; Lord let me do more, and this is also my prayer for the body of Christ, that God would stir our soul and shake us out of our stagnant state, and make us aware of the time.

Let us not forget where our life and destiny started, and let us see the vision through the eyes of the Holy Spirit and where He is leading us to go, but Lord please help us to never be comfortable in staying where we are.

For Jesus is Coming soon, Yes He is coming!!!

Make us ready dear Master, and Help us to reach out to others who have lost their way, and through our life and our testimony, bring them home to You.
