Since the beginning of time satan has had " one "

determination, one purpose, one plot, one goal, and

one plan.  That is to steele our inheritance, not just

our inheritance but also our rightful place in God's

plan.

Now you might be wondering where I'm going with this,

so in case your wondering, the reason for me doing this is to bring encouragement to the body of Christ.  I'm tired of seeing people overtaken by the struggles of life, not knowing who they really are in Christ and that He already payed the price for us to find victory.  I did say  " Find "

victory because sometimes it's something we have to fight

for.

Now Let's take a closer look!

It seems to me in Genesis 3 " The Creation ", God creates man in HIS OWN IMAGE !!  That means He created Adam a " Perfect " man, and He gave him all dominion over all of creation.  Now Adam was the first man  but also Adam was a type and shadow of Christ.

The Bible says Adam walked with God in the garden in the cool of the day.  This signifies Adams closeness with God,

representing relationship.  Not only was Adam close to God but Adam had the attributes of God, meaning likeness.

So what happened ?  Satan plotted to steel from Adam

all God had given him, and to turn Adam away from God

because satan knew if he could do that all of God's plans and purpose for Adam would be ruined.

Now since that time until now over and over again we see thru out the word of God satan doing the same thing. And unfortunately satan desire's to do the same to me and you....

In the next few weeks we are going to take a closer look

at some of these men and how satan fought to steel from them all God had promised them, but in a moment of time

they took back that God given authority and suddenly realize Who God Is!!!   And against all odds became intiment with Him again and intiment with His divine power.

 This week we're going to talk about Esau, but before we begin lets have a quick overview :   We're talking about Great Men of God and how they overcame tremendous attacks of satan to destroy them and take from them all God had promised them.   We've looked at Joshua and this week we're going to look at Esau, now you might be saying Hm....I don't recall Esau doing anything outstanding, or even talked about that much in the bible, and your right!!!!!!!!

Today we're going to look at what happens to those whom God has chosen and annointed, but they choose their own way.   Sound Familiar??   Let's take a look.

Isaich, the promised son to Abraham, had two sons, Esau and Jacob, and they were twins, but Esau was the first born, and according to the word of God, Esau was the firstborn and was the one chosen by God to recieve his fathers blessing.   Now lets understand what that means.

Esau was to inherit all that belonged to his father,  He was to become all his father was, obtain his wealth, obtain his authority, and carry on his name.

Now the bible says that Jacob desired his fathers blessing,  so he waited til Esau had been out hunting, now Esau would be gone out hunting for days at a time and when he would return he was at his most vulnerable moment and Jacob knew that,   so when Esau returned Jacob was waiting, he had cooked up some pottage,

and when Esau ask for some he said give me your blessing,

and the bible says Esau traded his birthright-blessing-inheritance- to his brother Jacob for a bowl of pottage, now no doubt in my mind had Esau at that time looked past the present circumstances, past the hunger pains and the weakness of his flesh that day and realized the outcome of his actions- he might have made a different choice.

Because Esau failed to understand all that belonged to him through that blessing he made his choice for that moment,  but if he would have looked past the pain of his flesh and saw the promise it could have been his strength, but unfortunatly for " a moment of relief "

he traded away " a lifetime of blessing "..............

Or Did He??????????

Hmm.... Isn't that just like we are today?

We walk in blessing w/ our faith flying high and all of a sudden the " blessin steeler " ( satan ) comes along and sends a circumstance or situation that sends us cowaring down, hitting rock bottom, fearful and wondering what we're going to do......

Now we'll talk more about Esau later, but look now there's Jacob in Genesis 28 -33 fighting for the blessing He stole.  Why did He have to fight for it??  Because it did not rightfully belong to him, and if you read more about Jacob you'll realize that Jacob had to constantly fight for everything he got, He had to wrestle God for the blessing,

The bible states " he wrestled all night "  but God finally gave it to him, then he wanted Rachel, the woman he loved, he worked and labored for her for 7 years, then got Leah instead then worked another 7 years .....see the pattern.....now you might say Pam where you going with this???     Well the difference between Esau and Jacob was that Jacob understood what it meant to be blessed of God and Esau did not see the importance of the blessing of God in his life.

Jacob had a heart that sought after the things of God and

Esau just lived for the moment.

How important is God in your life???  Do you live for Him desiring to obtain all He has for you in your life or do you just live to please yourself today not thinking about the consequences tomorow.

Can I tell you there are two kinds of blessings,  some are called, annointed, and ordained by promise and some get the annointing and the ordination and the promise because they seek after it, they fight for it, they hunger for it,,,

Now let's see what happens with Jacob and Esau, the bible says Jacob was blessed and was very wealthy, and out of his seed came the messiah,  What about Esau ??

Well can I say alot of us are just like Esau.. we take just enough of the blessing to satisfy us here and now, just for the moment, but we don't stop and realize that the blessing of God on our life means so much more than a bowl of pottage, nope we can have land as far as the eye can see... cattle and oxen more than we can number, and our heritage can number more than the sand of the sea....

For our redemption has been purchased by Christ.... we have been restored back to the state of Adam before the fall, where we can be one with the Father, walk w/ Him in the cool of the day.. He has empowerd us as His sons and daughters to carry the mission of restoring all things back to Him...

Ephsians 1:17 - 23  says:

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him..

Before Christ the church has been just like jacob, it seems we've had to fight for every blessing..

But Issiac had chosen Esau to recieve his inheritance...

But Esau settled for much less.... and we as God's children have too...

But you know what?  The thing about Esau is that one day He woke up and realized what he had let go... He realized there was more and the bible says he went in to his father and said:

Father, I want my blessing, all that rightfully belongs to me. I want it...Father is there but one blessing ? Father

can't you just bless me too? Because it is rightfully mine.

And the bible says He blessed him.....

Genesis 32 3-7 & 33 - 9

See what Esau realized was I have my blessing, I have my promise, my inheritance is as the sand of the sea.

You know I think it's time we start asking our daddy ( God )  to open our eyes and see the magnitude of our blessin and all He wants to do in our life.

Let's stand in faith against the thief and robber ( the devil ) and let him know ............

 WE KNOW THE POWER OF OUR GOD, WE STAND ON THE PROMISES OF HIS WORD, AND WE WALK IN THE POWER HE REDEEMED TO US ON THE CROSS AND VICTORY IN EVERY SITUATION IS OURS NOT BECAUSE WE DESERVE IT BUT BECAUSE OUR DADDY IS GOD AND HE SAID IN HIS WORD WE HAVE BEEN REDEEMED, PURCHASED BY HIS BLOOD.

AND THIS IS THE KNOWLEDGE HE HAS REVEALED TO US:

HE HAS REDEEMED US FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITY AND POWER AND MIGHT AND DOMINION AND EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED NOT ONLY IN THIS WORLD, BUT ALSO IN THAT WHICH IS TO COME. AND HATH PUT ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET AND GAVE HIM TO BE HEAD OVER ALL THINGS TO THE CHURCH, WHICH IS HIS BODY, THE FULLNESS OF HIM THAT FILLETH ALL IN ALL.      BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST  AMEN.....................................

What is your blessing????  What do you need in your life right now???   You need salvation ?? It's yours !!  Bought and paid for....

You need healing?? It's yours!! Bought and paid for....

You need deliverance??   It's yours!!

You need a financial blessing?? It;s yours!!

You need a relationship healed??  It's yours !!

Don't you see you can be like Jacob and passionatly fight for His touch,  go ahead !! Don't give up!!  Break out of your flesh !!     Remeber It's yours, bought and paid for by Jesus Christ!!   It's already yours....................
